The Greatest Salesman You Haven’t Yet Heard Of – Pouya Haidari

Thanks to Hugh Jackman, the world now knows the story of P.T. Barnum, more fondly known as the Greatest Showman. Many missed the point of what made Barnum the greatest in his field though. It wasn’t the extravagance of his shows or thinking outside the box that made him the greatest – it was his drive and perseverance. Barnum’s determination against all odds was to be the best, and it was this goal that aided him to be so. Just like Barnum there is another worthy of a similar title. Exhibiting similar traits and striving to be better than he was the day before, it’s time for the world to meet Pouya Haidari, The Greatest Salesman you haven’t yet heard of.

Born and raised in the northern part of Iran, Pouya migrated to Canada with his family at the age of 10. Fortunately for him, he did not speak a word of English. We say fortunately, because it was this that sparked a relentless drive within him that has remained a constant in his life. “I did not speak a word of English, and due to the differences in the academic structure, I was forced to skip a grade,” Pouya said. “Not wanting to get left behind my peers, I committed myself to becoming fluent in the English language within one year, and after spending days and nights going through the entire dictionary, defining and memorizing words, sure enough, I began to speak with more confidence and fluency than most Canadian-born kids.” The feeling of accomplishing this seemingly simple goal stayed with Pouya, and provided him with the motivation to keep propelling himself forward.

This pattern of setting unreasonable targets within a very short time frame soon became a recurring theme in Pouya’s life. Still in high-school, he began to look outside the schooling system for education. Coming across Jim Rohn, who Pouya now calls his first and most valuable mentor, led him to studying business and sales. “I began reading any and every book on sales that I could get my hands on,” Pouya says. “I soon began travelling from Canada to all across the United States attending business conferences, and it was there that I learned the true value of mentorship, and so I did everything in my power to be in the same rooms as the most successful people in their respective industries,” he recalls. As a result, unlike most his age, Pouya began his career in sales at just 16.

Discovering a passion for sales early on allowed Pouya inexplicably valuable experiences that many three times his age would never experience in the entirety of their careers.  Working his way up the corporate sales ladder, from salesman, to management, to Director and VP of Sales positions, Pouya found himself earning 6-figures a year and living in a luxury condo in the heart of Toronto by his 21st birthday. Not bad for a kid who once couldn’t speak a word of English, right? Whilst many would have been satisfied with this lifestyle, Pouya knew he hadn’t yet reached his full potential. By 23, he was earning multiple-6-figures per year and managing 5 regional sales offices of 60-70 sales professionals, and by the age of 24, had multiple 7-figure partnership offers from companies and brands in Canada and the United States, all of which he happily declined. “Many would call me crazy for declining that kind of money and security,” Pouya says, “but my experiences led me to believe that I could make a meaningful impact on the lives of others.”

“I realised that I now had a new goal,” he states. “I saw that everything I had pushed myself to learn and achieve was to serve a greater purpose – putting it simply that purpose is to help others,” Pouya says. Leaving the corporate world at 25, Pouya embarked on his own entrepreneurship journey to coach other sales professionals and entrepreneurs to tap into their potential by learning the real knowledge and cultivating the skills that are necessary for success in business. “Ultimately, I wish to help people live a truly fulfilled life on their own terms. I believe a life on your own terms is the only life worth living,” he says.

After working with and being mentored by many of the world’s best salesmen and entrepreneurs, Pouya has developed a coaching style that is truly exceptional.

His sales training and coaching programs offer a unique multi-faceted solution. The first being that it is derived from over a decade’s worth of real tangible experience across many industries. The second being that it has helped 500+ sales professionals significantly improve their financial futures, generating over $49.3 Million in client revenue within 24 months. “The third way in which we differ to other coaching programs is my favourite,” says Pouya, “And that is because we offer lifetime access and accountability, it’s not simply ‘okay see you later, good luck with everything’ at the end of the program.” Definitely something that is unmatched and unheard of in today’s coaching sphere.

Through his experiences, and unwavering drive and determination, Pouya has, like Barnum, achieved against all odds something truly magnificent. And whilst the most obvious reason may be his achievements and experiences, we believe it’s his drive to help others do the same that truly makes Pouya Haidari The Greatest Salesman.
