Steven Basalari on Growth

Steven Basalari (@stevenbasalari) has come a long way since taking over his dad’s nightclub business at 20 years old.

The entrepreneur opened new clubs and started investing in e-commerce and coaching ventures earning him financial freedom and the ability to travel the world at a moments notice.

“My ability to grow and learn through challenges allowed me to create momentum,” says Basalari.

He says committing to personal growth is the first step in growing a business. When he doubled down on all facets of his life included health, relationships, and mindset, his businesses took off.

Basalari believes it’s important to master a few mindset changes. He suggests taking time to cultivate confidence as it’s one of the most important traits an entrepreneur can carry.

“They need to get used to the feeling of being uncomfortable and understand that every other successful person started out in the same position they’re in now,” he says.

Basalari says that it’s important to pretend like you know what you are doing because by pretending like you know what you’re doing, you’ll actually be confident enough to practice doing it.

Basalari says people get caught in analysis paralysis, the phenomena of overthinking too much and delaying an actual start.

“The best way to do business is to implement quickly and wait for results,” he says.

Basalari notes that entrepreneurs who aren’t afraid to get started and have the confidence to make mistakes will grow a lot quicker than the entrepreneurs who get caught up looking into every detail before they even start.

According to Basalari, the most successful entrepreneurs are extremely accountable, even when they fail. He suggests throwing excuses out the door and locking in to getting the best result possible rather than worrying about past mistakes.

Basalari concludes that entrepreneurship is about possessing the ability to be resilient. He says while ups and downs in every business venture are guaranteed, the entrepreneurs who are willing to look at their past mistakes and grow through them are the most successful.

“The only people who don’t make mistakes are the people who do nothing,” he says. “Making mistakes is a good sign that you’re on the way to doing something right.”

He’s known to have been a positive role model worldwide. To keep up with Steven Basalari, follow him on Instagram.
