Sam Bertini Explains the Success of Tabr and The Arora Company

Sam Bertini is the co-founder and CEO of Tabr, a mass media and entertainment conglomerate he started with Aryaan Arora. In addition, Bertini is an executive at The Arora Company, an American public relations and marketing consultancy firm.

Speaking on The Arora Company’s meteoric rise from niche solutions provider to a million-dollar revenue generator, Bertini said, “The key is tenacity. When you’re selling anything, be it a pen or a personalized marketing solution, you’re going to deal with a lot of failures. Instead of letting the failure discourage us, Aryaan and I used it as a lesson to work harder and target our areas of weakness. And when we did land our first big client, it was all uphill from there.”

But a selfish desire to generate profit is not going to take a company from making a loss to making a million. “You need a deeper goal,” Bertini says. “The ambition to build a great company is always going to be there, and there’s nothing wrong with setting financial targets; in fact, they’re a good thing. But money alone cannot motivate you. For example, with our companies, Aryaan and I wanted to give back to our community by contributing to COVID relief. It’s a small start, but is a great foundation to build upon for the future.”

Tabr has already launched its news division called Tabr News. Within a couple of weeks of launching, the website attracted over a million unique visitors from all over the world. Tabr’s founders are planning to expand the firm further, which Bertini claims is key to keeping passion and motivation alive. “It’s true that you should start with something you can manage; that’s what we did with The Arora Company, which we are still enjoying great success with. But I believe every venture, even the smallest one, needs to have ambitious plans of expansion. It’s this growth that really helps you feel you’re building toward something. Not just a cheque to cash in at the bank, but a legacy. That is what I believe all the greatest entrepreneurs have strived towards.”

Although he surely spends a lot of time working between the two businesses, Bertini, who is a well-known model and published author, highlighted to us the importance of having non-business endeavors you are passionate about. “Writing really helps me wind down — especially bigger projects like novels, because there’s always that familiar thing you can return to.”

Bertini’s highly-anticipated debut novel, titled ‘On Art’, is scheduled to be published soon. Tabr is also set to launch a number of new initiatives in the coming months, including several mobile applications, a YouTube channel, and a streaming service.
