It is undoubtedly true that our present shapes the path to our future. The ’20s, as we know, have such a significant impact on who we will become personally and professionally, and are also often categorized as the “defining decade.” Kazi Abidur Rahman, the co-founder of Sunnamusk, a renowned retail company recognized for its extensive line of fragrance items, is an example of a trailblazing individual who has dominated the industry with his unwavering efforts. And all because of the mindful practices that he inhabited in his 20’s which set the course to his success in the ’30s.
To paint a trajectory, Kazi was born and brought up in Sylhet, Bangladesh, where he grew up with two sisters and five brothers. Since his childhood, Kazi has been extremely dedicated to reaching new heights and making a name for himself. Since the age of 14, Rahman has had a strong interest in branding and marketing, consequently, he began working alongside his brother Shafiq in car boot sales and market stalls to gain expertise. This period of transition from studying to acquiring experience all happened for Kazi in one of the world’s greatest countries – the UK, where his family moved in 1997 looking for a better quality of life.
Rahman began his career in 2009 when he and his brother Shafiq co-founded Sunnamusk, a fragrance retail company known for its unique variety of fragrances. Initially, Rahman served as the company’s Head of Brand and Commercialization. He was in charge of the company’s operations, sales, marketing, public relations, and human resources. Rahman was also in charge of new product development and commercial expansion around the country. Rahman was named CEO of Sunnamusk in 2018. During his tenure as CEO, the company grew in size and now operates nine websites across the United Kingdom. The first foreign website for Sunnamusk was launched in Germany.
This massive transition in Kazi’s journey to becoming a successful entrepreneur is a product of the determination and hard work that he exhibited early in his life. Kazi exclaims that he began envisioning his ideal lifestyle five, ten, and twenty years down the road as he neared the end of his twenties. He goes on to claim that this helped him pin down what was really on his mind and provided him with a record that he could refer to throughout time. On a concluding note, Kazi asserts that to reach your destination it is extremely important to work your face off and learn your craft by heart, after all that is the only thing that differentiates you from others and that is exactly what is your unique selling point.
