The journey starts from Memphis, TN the hometown of Brian Covey. Brian did his graduation from Fogelman College of the Business/University of Memphis. He is currently the vice president of regional Production and loan Depot which is a non-bank consumer lender company and market leader offering home mortgage and home equity loan products.
Brian’s work profile
Brian was a former pro soccer player. He was a member of the Forbes Real Estate Council. Being the former Olympic team member with U-17 and U-19 teams Brian loves to coach soccer. He is also about to launch his book in Feb 2021. Brian is related to the Crossfit Athlete training at Iron Tribe Fitness Perform Team. Brian always had friends working in the finance department. His parents were also associated with sales and finance. Therefore after observing a good demand for financial requirements in the finance industry Brian decided to enter into the business of non-bank consumer lending and started with loanDepot. Brian himself has dealt with the problem of initial financial requirements at the time of purchasing a home and therefore he became a businessman solving other’s problems and filling the gap. Brian’s leadership qualities help him succeed in every aspect of life. He is also passionate about building championship teams. His current team has experienced tremendous growth from $200M to over $3B in annual funding in less than 4 years.
Brian’s learning and growing attitude towards life
Fitness and failure became masteries for Brian very early as his career was affected by the 2007 market crash just years after his Olympic team days came to an end, right when he was raising his children. He learnt the power of mental toughness at an early age , visualization & how to leverage our energy to accelerate versus stop. Brian mastered the art of failure, the art of winning, and the art of staying fit. From being passed over for promotions, he has learnt how to take lessons from his failures and successes.
