Few people know that photography is way more than smiling for the camera. It takes a high level of expertise and finesse to reach the top. If photography were so easy, everyone would be a photographer, after all, we all have mobile phones. The mobile phones of these days are called smartphones for a reason, and they can do way more than making calls. Cameras with high sensitivities are being attached to them, and it is threatening to put professional photographers out of business.
Luca Boschi is an exception. ‘The Light architect’, as he is fondly called by clients and fellow professionals alike, Boschi is a pacesetter in the world of modern-day photography. He started his journey to stardom on the streets of Italy and never looked back.
At a very young age, he already found out that he had a passion for photography. Most people would feel discouraged if they did not have the tools or the audience to pursue their dreams, but not Luca. Learning how to use a camera was one thing. When he was confident that he could use a camera, he improvised, using some of his friends as models. This single act made him hone his skills as a photographer, and he was able to understand how to use the light around people.
When people realized how good he was with the camera, they started buying some of these pictures, and he was able to purchase his first camera with the proceeds.
Striving to move higher, he continued to act as a freelance photo news reporter, while his eyes were set on owning a studio. After a very short time, he actualized his dream and established his studio in 2013. He made sure to have the best professional features around and did not stop street shoots because they were his humble beginnings. Having a studio meant that he could now advance into fashion photography and studio shoots.
Mastering the act of light earned him the nickname ‘The light architect’ from one of his closest friends, Dellimellow, who was a well-known and respected social media influencer.
In just a little time, he has been able to gain more than twenty thousand followers on just Instagram, while countless more following him on other social media platforms.
Luca Boschi is a great innovator, so he could not just settle for the things that were there before him. After many trials, he finally came up with a unique technique of photography which he called “Shadoweaving”. This technique is now widely recognized and used by fashion icons and models all over the world. Also, it has gained him accolades and the respect of the fashion world. People say it is a unique dark style of photography where the lights are bent over and around the models, but this ability to manipulate light earned him the nickname.
He is a director of historical re-enactment, and over the years, he has also developed a deep love for studies and performances of experimental arts.
