At the young age of only 14 years old when growing up in Bogotá, Colombia, Jeimmy Garzon would often fantasize about her future.
“I’d dreamed of becoming a model,” she said.
The teenager was determined to make her dreams come true, having the support of her mother to help her reach her goals. She joined a prestigious modeling academy, Stock Models & Talent, where she got her first taste of the fashion modeling industry and what a career in the field would be like.
She never looked back.
“It was the training I received there that confirmed by passion for modeling,” she said. “I knew then that this was really what I wanted to spend my life doing.”
It wasn’t always easy, she admits. In fact, she notes, there was definitely a learning curve as she started her career at such a young.
“I obviously made a lot of mistakes in the beginning, but these were corrected right away,” she said. “Those mistakes were a blessing, in a way, because they helped me make better decisions as my career progressed.”
Jeimmy, now 33, made those dreams come true, rising to international fame being photographed by some of the top photographers in the world.
Described as a luxury model, Jeimmy’s striking beauty and talent in front of the camera led her around the globe. She said the secret to her success in modeling was always maintain the right mindset and a determination to make a name for herself.
“I believe in constant preparation and have a strong belief in my talent,” she said. “I’ve never been too afraid to step out of my comfort zone, and I am not someone who can be put off by any obstacles that may be in my way.”
Jeimmy eventually branched out to social media, where she has grown a loyal following as a content creator. With a half million followers on Instagram (@Jeimmygarzonofficial), as well as audiences on Facebook and TikTok (jeimmygarzon on each), she has found additional outlets to showcase her skills and love of fashion and the modeling industry.
“I’m a positive, determined and feisty person,” she said. “I am always challenging myself to become a better version of who I am.”
She said one of the biggest influences she has had on her life is her 17-year-old daughter, who she credits with “providing me the motivation for each leap forward in my career and achieving my dreams.”
Now living in Spain for personal and professional reasons, Jeimmy is enjoying the life she has created, surrounded by her loves of fashion, lifestyle and travel.
She said as she looks back over her flourishing career, she is proud of the hard work and dedication she has put int to make it to where she is today.
“I am someone who will always continue to make the most of all of the opportunities that have been given to me,” she said.
