Maya Bagel Express was started by a family member who had nearly a decade of experience in the Bagel industry. Truly learning and experiencing how to produce a perfect bagel that the customers and newcomers would fall in love with.

Maya Bagel Express strives 100% to have the freshest ingredients possible. We make our bagels fresh daily right on premises. We have an extensive menu which includes breakfast, lunch and dinner served all day long. We make our own homemade salads for sandwiches and only serve Boar’s Head meats, and yes, we do serve the best home fries in the city.

Bread lovers rejoice — Louisville is getting a New York-style bagel shop soon!
it’s called Maya Bagel Express, and it is set to open soon.
Founder Murad Islamov told me he has always had a knack for making bagels, learning from his parents who worked in a small bagel shop in New England. The young entrepreneur previously attended Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester, New Hampshire, and launched the bagel brand in 2020.
“Creating Maya Bagel Express has always been my family’s dream and my vision,” he said “My parents and I came up with the best New York-style bagel recipe we think people will fall in love with and really enjoy.”
while the location hasn’t been finalized, the menu has. Maya Bagel Express will offer a variety of breakfast and lunch sandwiches, such as the Nova Lox bagel with smoked salmon, plain cream cheese, tomatoes, onions and capers ($10) and the grilled pastrami bagel with Swiss cheese and deli mustard ($9). Islamov said his staff will be making the bagels fresh daily and is committed to making items from scratch, including the shop’s chicken and tuna salads. Maya Bagel Express will also offer coffee and other pastries.
