The CEO Of Bungee Brand, Darrell Alston’s Journey From Rap To Business

Darrell Alston is the CEO and lead designer of Bungee Brand sneakers and clothing. This brand provides fashionable, unique, and high-quality footwear to customers. He grew up in Philadelphia. In high school, he recognized his talent for writing and performing rap music. Though he became famous, his income did not fit the lifestyle of a rapper.

He made some terrible decisions to make money. It gave him money, but in return, he put himself at a lot of risks. Darrell was famous worldwide, had cars, money, a name, and expensive jewelry. He thought he got everything he wanted, but eventually, it ended.

Darrell was imprisoned for 6.5 years. Prison made him realize many things about himself that he is today. He had to accept the mistakes he had made that put him in prison. He learned to work hard, to help people, and mainly to design.

When he was a rapper, he had an interest in footwear and clothing. He knew how these things help represent the personality and individuality of a rapper to the audience. Moreover, he made sure not to wear the same pair of sneakers to the stage twice. So as a convict, he spent his leisure time designing sneakers.

When he got out, he started a hair salon business. He went on to tell his story to high schools, TV news, magazines, and newspaper articles. This made him meet with people who became his mentors. Though his sneaker designs were appreciated both inside and outside the prison, he didn’t know where to start his business.

He talked to people and paid for his first order through his hair salon. Then he finally got a line out and has been successfully doing business for the last six years in the form of “Bungee Brand”. His success shows that every hardship is just a lesson.
