Born and raised in Miami, Florida to South American immigrants, Steven Correa did not have the most luxurious childhood experiences. His parents traveled to Miami to start a family in a country with great opportunities. Expectedly, his parents faced several challenges from unemployment to limited access to healthcare, which rubbed off their kids. Steven, therefore, knew from a relatively tender age that he had to go the extra mile to overcome these tribulations and make a name for himself and the family.
Towing popular path of getting a formal education to become successful, Steven enrolled in Florida International University after high school and took up a job in Miami’s nightlife scene to pay his way through school. This also gave him an opportunity to learn about a new environment, network significantly and meeting people from all walks of life. This also endeared him to hustling and putting his skills to good use even before earning his degree. After a couple of internships and a handful of 6 figure jobs lined up post-graduation, Steven more to life than a 9 to 5, which led him to the path of entrepreneurship.
The increasing popularity of smartphones and other such devices and his background in computer programming attracted him to study the app development space. Steven dropped everything he was doing, studied across several nights to research and learn. He also went homeless at a time in his entrepreneurial journey. Eventually, Steven came out with a vast knowledge of the development processes, and code stacks.
2017 was a memorable year in the life of Steven Correa as he launched THRV, a full-stack creative agency that focuses on software development and design. Thanks to his wealth of knowledge and his passion to create, his knowledge in web design and app development became his goldmine even as he helps to bring people’s vision to life.
Steven Correa currently enjoys the creative freedom he gets from his clients as well as the creative process of each job, especially as no project is the same.
